Christmas 2010 at Hunstrete House

 A Traditional English Christmas is a feast for all the senses at Hunstrete House. We like to think of our beautiful Country manor house as a home away from home, so this year, why not treat each other to a stress-free festive season by allowing us to look after your every need.
Festive menus have been designed by our award winning chef to remain perfectly in keeping with tradition, your palate and of course, our extensive wine list!
Roaring log fires burn in the Hall and the Drawing Room, adding to the ambient lighting and relaxed atmosphere. Luxury Bedrooms are traditionally designed and highly individual with en-suite bathrooms and direct dial telephones, so you can stay in touch with the outside world as little or as much as you like.
Our seventy-six acres of gardens and parklands even boast a Deer Park: There is no better place for a bracing walk on a chilly Christmas morning than our stunning grounds. Breathe in crisp country air and ready yourself for the festivities.

Christmas Eve – Thursday 24th December 2010
The team will be on hand to welcome you to Hunstrete House and escort you to your bedroom.
Between 3.30pm and 4.30pm afternoon tea will be served, and you can relax in one of our comfortable sitting rooms.
In the evening we ask you to join us for your Christmas Eve Dinner. From 7.00pm we will serve delightful canapés and champagne, this will give you an opportunity to acquaint yourself with fellow guests. Then local Bell Ringers and Carol Singers will assemble in the main entrance hall to entertain you with traditional Christmas Carols.
Following this treat you will be called through to the dining room for a wonderful Dinner prepared by our excellent chef and his brigade.
Christmas Day – Friday 25th December 2010
Christmas morning awake to morning tea or coffee delivered to your room, on request. Then an English Country House Breakfast awaits you in our breakfast room between 8.00am and10.30 am.
The morning is yours to relax and enjoy as you wish. You may want to take a walk in the gardens of the estate and enjoy the magnificent views, or just relax in the drawing room in front of the cosy fire.
From 12.00pm we ask you to join us in the main entrance hall for mulled wine, before your Traditional Christmas Day Luncheon which will be accompanied by our resident pianist.
In the evening, we will be serving an informal buffet supper, this will be another chance just to relax and enjoy the company of your fellow guests.
Boxing Day – Saturday 26th December 2010
Wake up to an early morning tea or coffee in your room, if requested, followed by Breakfast from 8.00am until 10.30am. The day is yours to enjoy as you wish, you may wish to visit the many attractions of Bath or alternatively you may choose to just relax and forget the outside world. Hunstrete House and its grounds provide the perfect retreat in which to feel at home and to take advantage of the peace and quiet.
As the evening draws in you can enjoy a delightful seasonal menu, prepared by our Chef and his team. A more informal dinner you may book a table at your leisure, between 7.00pm and 9.00pm.

Wake up to an early morning tea or coffee in your room, if requested, followed by a hearty Breakfast as you prepare to depart. Check out time is 11.00am and we wish you all a safe journey home

This special break is available from 24 December 2010 to 27 December 2010. Subject to availability.
Terms and Conditions
The rates quoted are per room for our Christmas break on either the two or three night package, and are based on two people sharing. The rates are inclusive of accommodation, meals and drinks as detailed in our Christmas programme and Value Added tax. Single rates are available on request.
We respectfully ask that reservations are confirmed with a credit card and 50% deposit will be taken at the time of booking. Full payment in advance for the Christmas Programme must be received prior to the 1st December 2010, otherwise the amount will be taken from the card details given at the time of booking. In the unfortunate event of cancellation and should we not be able to re-let the accommodation, we regret there will be no refund.
